Are You Thankful?

“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” — Albert Schweitzer

In one group of which I’m a part, we have “Thankful Thursday”, where we post whatever things we’re thankful for. That nicely balances “Mediating Monday”, when we bring our prayer requests to God and our praying friends. It’s easy to get caught up in the “gimme” part of prayer but thanking God for all He’s given us is a powerful way of balancing that and realizing how much we really have.

I have a friend, a pastor’s wife, who’s doing a wonderful blog series on gratitude, especially during the middle part of life, during the month of November. You and your readers might enjoy meeting Sheila and sharing in her God-given wisdom. The link (sorry it’s so long) for today’s post is; http://aseasonofharvest.blogspot.com/2013/11/to-be-mid-life-modest-or-to-gratefully.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+ASeasonOfHarvest+%28A+Season+of+Harvest%29.
